The European Commission has taken the initiative to a ‘foundational body of knowledge’ (fBOK) for ICT Professionals. This is one of the results of the e-Skills program that runs for some time now. The ultimate aim is at fostering the competences and the mobility of ICT practitioners in Europe.

Almost a hundred members have supported the inaugural phase of this initiative by expressing interest and by actively contributing to the content. This first version is intended to stimulate BIM practitioners to think about how they fulfill their role.
Last year, the international standard for Application Management, ISO 16350, based on ASL has been published, thanks to the continuous support of ASL BiSL Foundation experts in the past six years.
