About Deshima Business Awards

Established in 2000, with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Japan, the awards recognize the business achievements and contributions of Dutch companies in Japan. It is meant to raise the awareness of trade and investment opportunities in Japan for Dutch enterprises. The Deshima Business Awards are awarded biennially by the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce in Japan (NCCJ) and the Dutch and Japanese Trade Federation (DUJAT) to Dutch companies in recognition of impressive achievements in successful business development in the Japanese market. A mirror award was established in the Netherlands in 2006 by the Dutch and Japanese Trade Federation (DUJAT), based in Amsterdam, to honour the accomplishments of Japanese companies doing business in the country.
